Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The aircraft seem to take to long to taxi off the runway. Is there anyway to change this?

A: The taxi speed of the AI Aircraft is controlled by Flight Simulator. A free utility, called AISpeed is available and allows you to change the speed that the aircraft use during the taxi phase. We recommend a speed between 20-25 knots to get the traffic moving.

Q: Some of the aircraft are called just by their flight number.  Their full callsign is not used by ATC. Is there anyway to have ATC say their callsign?

A: Flight Simulator only comes with a limited number of callsigns. Each Ultimate Traffic aircraft does have a callsign designated, but you cannot hear it unless you have installed EditVoicepack. This free utility adds the missing callsigns to Flight Simulator.

Q: Where do I save all the downloaded files?

A: You MUST save all of the downloads from the Ultimate Traffic website into a special directory on your system. The directory the files are saved into is...

Your FS Path\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic\Updates\Downloaded Files

The next time you start the Automatic Updater, the downloaded files will be displayed and ready to be installed.

Q: I really like to see some of the older airlines, like TWA. Is there any way for me to add these to Ultimate Traffic?

A: Yes, you can add extra traffic to Ultimate Traffic by utilizing the standard file format from TTools by Lee Swordy. Please see the Ultimate Traffic documentation for full instructions on how to add your own traffic.
