Hi how can I stop UT2 from starting with FSX? I'm trying to figure out why I have "multi colored springs" in the skys around the airports. (I do have the latest video drivers). So I'm trying to troubleshoot one step and a time and I found the check box to play the startup music but not how to stop UT2 from starting. Thanks

I can't help with the multi-colored springs, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with UT2. Can you send a screenshot of it?
However, I can tell you how to prevent UT2 from loading. Open your C:\Users\<your_name>\ AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ EXE.xml in Notepad. It should look something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>exe.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Name>UT2</Name> <Path>C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path> <NewConsole>True</NewConsole> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> Change "False" that I've marked in red to "True" and save. From now on, every time you run FSX you will be given the option to load UT2_Services.exe, or not. It takes no extra time. Very Important. Save a backup copy of EXE.xml in case you do something wrong. Please use the correct forum for your questions. This is the forum for Classic UT. You should be using the one for UT2 Licensed Users. It makes it easier for users to search. Actually, your request to find a a way to prevent UT2 from running has been asked before, and answered the same. |

Sorry for the repeat and thanks for the info I'll try to send a screenshot of it next time I see it. I think it might be my flat screen monitor so I'll try and reset it.

Hello it turns out that my "REX Overdrive Software Program" was competing with another software which was creating the "springs" Thanks for your help. Where can I download the "Power Pack" that everyone is talking about?
