Here is a list of things that I noticed, some are assignments and others are airline info.  I had to remove a lot of other notes as they were caught in the beta testing and corrected, good job!  This is a list that I did not get a chance to submit.  Because of time restraints I did not get a chance to go through the entire schedule.  But I will continue to work on it though.

1) Earlier this year Aero California was grounded by the Mexican government over safety issues and it looks like they will be gone for good.
2) Arkhangelsk Airlines rebranded itself as Aeroflot Nord
3) Air Luxor rebranded itself as HiFly
4) Australian Airlines, which is owned by Qantas will stop services in July 2006.
5) In Spring 2006 Phuket Air was sc**pped by it's shareholders.  They are planning to relaunch the airline under a different name using B737 on domestic routes only.
6) Air Berlin 146 assignment is more than likely a B737, since AB no longer operates the 146.  The flightnumber and times match their website timetables and is not a code share flight, they only code share with Niki, and they do not operate the 146 either.
7) Air Iceland does not operate a 146, flight operated by Atlantic Airways Faroe Islands
8) Surinam Airways A330-200 is operated by KLM
9) Wimbi Dira Airways is misnamed, it is a Chinese domestic operator, maybe Spring Airlines?
10) Mandarin Airlines A330-300 and B744F are operated by China Airlines, which owns Mandarin Airlines.
11) Krasnoyarsk Airlines B733 is painted in Air Union livery.
12) As far as I know Iran Asseman does not have a B737 in their fleet
13) L.T.U. does not have a B737 in their fleet
14) CCM Airlines does not have a B737 in their fleet
15) CR Airways does not have a B737 in their fleet
16) Keystone Air Services is actually Blue Dart
17) Yakutia is actually Yangtze River Express
18) Air Gabon does not have a B757, but they do have a B767
19) Trans Air Benin (Y7) is actually Flyjet
20) BWIA does not have any B767 in their fleet
21) Air Luxor (C2) does not have a B767 in their fleet, they only have A320 and A321.
22) Air Luxor Gb (L8) does not have a B767 in their fleet, they only have A320 and A321.
23) Sahara Airlines (S2) does not have a B767 in their fleet
24) Tacv Cabo Verde Airlines does not have a B767 in their fleet
25) Krasnoyarsk Airlines AN24 is more than likely operated by Sibaviatrans, their partner in Air Union.
26) Coyne Airways does not own aircraft, they charter flights for freight.  I have assigned generic white textures to them.
27) Hemus Air ATR42 is operated by Viaggio
28) Birdy Airlines (4V) is now part of SN Brussels Airlines and they use A330-300s in the SN Brussels livery

LOT Polish Airlines is shown only with its subsidiaries Eurolot and Jetair. The main LOT schedule is missing. This also happened in the previous two(?) updates. I don't know the reason for this.

CR Airways just got their first 737-800 with winglets. They just got it a few days ago.  See the Latest Fotos section here:

Correct. See their http://www.crairways.com/eng/index.html - website.

I think we will need a repaint for this one. Very unusual colours.

Yet again my national carrier is omitted. Bush was right, no one ever remembers about Poland.

Jokes aside, someone should look into this, it seems very strange that a mainline carrier's, Star Alliance member's schedules are simply not there (nor of its low-cost subsidiary - Centralwings).

The LOT data was just so flawed it was decided not to use it. Better to have a clean canvas to import into...

Posted By: hanstatdg
Date Posted: June-28-2006 at 5:18am
I imported a LOT flightplan. There's one for http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004ai&DLID=83905 - Summer 2006 on AVSIM.

There's also one for http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004ai&DLID=83914 - Centralwings Summer 2006 , also on AVSIM.

If you use the LOT one, be careful not to duplicate the Jetair schedule, which is already in UT. The easiest way is to do the complete import, then deselect UT's Jetair when you compile.

I suspect that the comment made by John is an example of how difficult it can be to create the update. There is obviously an enormous amount of detailed work involved.

Fortunately, it is usually possible to correct any errors or omissions by importing etc. Luckily we have many eagle-eyed contributors who are only too willing to draw our attention to them.

Please note, if an airline has been dropped it is for two reasons:-

  1. We did not get data for this airline from our supplier.
  2. The data was too flawed to be used.

We are sorry if some of your favorite airlines have been dropped or it seems that the schedule not correct, but at the time we recieved the data the schedules were correct....

I'm thinking the Wimbi Dira assignment is the new startup East Line, I have a photo and will repaint.  They operat A319s thoug, not A320s.  Bellair is misnamed and is actually Star Flyer of Japan and a repaint is available at PAI by yours truly!

Cheers

Hi All

If you look at the timetable for EGCC Manchester-- Gulf Air (GF) has two flights operating to London Heathrow using an A319 and an Embraer 145.  I think that this is a codeshare with BMI.  Could someone please verify this for me.

Thankyou

Is there a repaint for the Air France A3Y.  Cargo A300?  Or is this DHL or something???  The Air France Cargo website says they only have 747Fs so not sure what this is.

Ok under Air France there's an A300/F4(ABX) that goes between Istanbul, Gatwick, Heathrow and Paris.  Maybe it's Kuzu Cargo? Or some other cargo operator out of Istanbul?

Then the A300-600(ABY) under Air France goes all over Spain, Potugal, Morroco and Africa.  I can't figure out what Cargo operator this is....

Vietnam Airlines A300???

Orient Thai MD-80?

Rio Grande MD-80 in Cambodia??

China Airlines A330?

In the thread listing assignments for the Winter 05 schedules, Hernan stated that Vietnam Airlines was operating a plain white A300. I assume that's still the case? There are some pictures on Airliners.net but they date back to 2002.

According to their website, Orient Thai operate 4 MD-80s in a One-Two-Go livery. There's a repaint for the Aardvark model on Avsim.

China Airlines' website states that they operate 10 A330s.

Interestingly, Rio Grande has the same IATA code as Kampuchea Airlines, which would fit with the country. Unfortunately they are no longer operating, so I don't know whether the planes should be assigned to some other Cambodian airline? The closest match I can find is Siem Reap Airways who fly the same routes as are shown for Rio Grande, but they use a Bangkok Airways B717 rather than an MD-80.

This is for the Spring/Summer 06 update.

I can't find the repaint for any Orient Thai MD-80.  here it is, it's under one-two-go: one-two-go_md-82.zip, no wonder I couldn't find it....

My bad I meant Air China A330.

I can only find a Posky repaint. is there an FSP repaint?

I guess I will assing the Siem Reap 717 for the Rio Grande routes...

Thanks!

Where can I find correct flightplans? In avsim there aren't

Let's try to get this topic back to the subject Smile

These flights are operated by WDL Aviation 146-300's. Some got a repaint for the Fernando Martinez model?

8) Surinam Airways A330-200 is operated by KLM

Flights used to be operated by an Iberworld A330 but their own 747-300 has returned from the repairshop (where it spent a few months) so assign the 747 to this one.

18) Air Gabon does not have a B757, but they do have a B767

Air Gabon is no longer operating. There are plans to start a new airline 'Air Gabon International'. Expected start up June 2006 (!). Carrier is supported by Royal Air Maroc and they will fly a 757 and 2 737-200's. No idea about the paintscheme but my guess is 'regular' Royal Air Maroc for the time being.

23) Sahara Airlines (S2) does not have a B767 in their fleet

They do. They operate flights to London with this one.

A few other tips and tricks:

Asian Spirit 100 = Asian Spirit BAE 146-100

SAM F100 = Avianca F100 (they have small 'operated by SAM' titles)

Yanda Airlines F100 = Alliance Air F100

Viaggio Air 146 = Hemus Air 146

More to follow later.

Air Madrid (NM). UT lists the following aircraft in their fleet: A310,A319,A321,A330 and A340. However, when you look up their flight schedules in UT, all you see are the A330 and A340. No mention of the others.

The airline's website confirms all of the above, with the exception of the A321 : http://www.airmadrid.com/info_flota.do - http://www.airmadrid.com/info_flota.do

This will have to be another import. There are new flight schedules available at Project AI, by Carlos Augusto Narvaez: http://www.projectai.com/libraries/search.php?keywords=air+m adrid - http://www.projectai.com/libraries/search.php?keywords=air+m adrid

CR Airways is a bit similar. The Boeing 737-800 is listed, but not shown in the flight schedules. To be able to see it flying around, assign the 738 to the CRJs, that way, you'll be able to see both flying around Hong Kong.

I'm just starting to assign textures after purchasing the latest flight schedule. So far, I have already imported LOT, Centralwings, Laser, and now Air madrid.

Hi Hernan.

Are we looking at the same schedules?

When I generate the timetable for Air Madrid it shows the A319s and A321s flying all over Europe. The A310 is only shown as flying twice a week to Tel Aviv so I've assigned an A310 to the A321 to make it a bit more active.

Similarly, the timetable I get for CR Airways has a separate 738 entry, but to see it flying I need someone to do a nice repaint .

OK I know there seems to be a lot of obmissions in this update but there are also a lot of additions too.

Please remember that the the data we get from our supplier, depends on lots of factors:-

  • The aircraft codes used are the ones supplied by the airlines, sometimes they use their own codes and not the IATA industry standard method.
  • The data is only as good as the data supplied to our supplier by the airlines, if the airlires data is flawed then the data we get is flawed too.
  • As we have explained many times before, to check every single flight, aircraft assignment and airline is just too expensive. If we did that we would push the cost of the updates to an unreasonable level, and in the end deter you from obtaining them, so as in all things releated to Flight Simulator a compromise has to be reached.
  • If an airline is dropped, it is because we just do not have data or the data we have recieved is just too flawed to be of any use.

We try to achieve a product that is both representative of WORLDWIDE traffic and affordable. Sometimes your favorite airline will be dropped, but this is usually for resons beyond our direct control.

On my installation Air Madrid is there under Airmadrid (incorrect spelling) with all the flights showing.

A few more remarks:

Air Iceland BAe146 is a codeshare with Atlantic Airways (Faroe Islands). No aircraft assignment is needed.

The Wimbi Dira A320's are indeed Spring Airlines (China) as mentioned before.

The Air Berlin A321 flights are operated by FlyNiki.

In real life the AirMadrid A321 flights are not operated yet.

Bayu Indonesia 727 is a DHL 727F operating in the new c/s.

Sudan doesn't have any 727's in their own (full) colours. They operate one in Estafeta Papua c/s and one all white. On avsim their is a package called sudan_airways_pack.zip with repaints for these 727's

The Krasnoyarsk Airlines, Samara Airlines and Domodedovo Airlines 737 flights are operated by 737's in AirUnion c/s. Anybody got a repaint for the Aardvark model?

That's it for now.

Thanks

Posted By: freson
Date Posted: July-02-2006 at 10:49am

And a few more:

Vladivostok Air 733 is a codeshare with KrasAir/AirUnion. No need to assign an aircraft.

Same for Donbassaero 735 = Codeshare with Air Baltic.

No idea what the CCM 735 may be but their are no fligthplans for this entry so no need to worry about it.

Cubana 757 is a Hola Airlines (Spain) 757.

Volare Airlines 763 is an Air Europe 767-300

As mentioned before the Air Astana 763 flights are operated by KLM. In real life these are codeshare flights. In UT they aren't so the KLM 763 should be assigned to keep UT as close to the real thing as possible.

I'm pretty sure that more additions will follow.

Keep you posted.

Ok, new schedules downloaded and I had the chance to look at NB.

Sterling merged with Maersk Air recently so the 735s and 73Gs come from Maersk, so they are operated in a hybrid livery like this one http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1063738/M/ - http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1063738/M/ . There are repaints by Kelly Freeman for AI Aardvark 735 and 73G in the hybrid colours available at AVSIM.

For the MD-80 operating the Helsinki flights UT has a 73G operating those flights, and because they aren't the only routes for 73G I don't think there's much that can be done for the situation other than importing new schedules.

Also, Joint Stock Company Nordic Solutions (funny name!) is Nordic Solutions Air Services which operates flights for Air ┼land. The plane is operated in Air ┼land colours and repaint by Symon Long is available at AVSIM. I think it will be difficult for you to find because it includes letter ┼ in ┼land but I'll try to link it: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=76660 - http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Pro to=ftp&DLID=76660

I do have CCM 737 in my schedules! I don't know why you suppose it's a B735, but that would still make sense due to CCM's close relationship with Air France. So I assigned Air France B735 to CCM B737.

Remember that when checking if a plane is in the timetable don't look only at the route map, because it shows often only one aircraft per route. If you have a look at the CCM schedules you can see 737 flights but the route map indicates erroneously only Airbus aircraft for the (also) 737 routes. It's a UT bug.

Edit: Does anyone know about the Jet2.com BAe146?

You're right... slipped my mind. I hate that bugAngry

The Jet2.com BAe146 is a leased one from Flightline. see http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1042841/L/ - http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1042841/L/  for a picture. Repaint for the Fernando Martinez is available (on Avsim, I think).

Hi Jessie

Can you please tell me what the icao & iata code plus callsign for Air ┼land is.

Thanks for any help or info

Thanks Fred.

David,

Air ┼land is quite difficult because there is very little info of it. All flights are operated by Nordic Solutions (Lithuanian company), so flights use the N9 IATA code. ICAO code might be NVD but I don't know that for sure because it can be just made up for use in my ATC Simulator. Callsign is Nordwind , but according to my knowledge it's not included in EditVoicepack.

So I think Air ┼land does not have any codes or callsigns, all flights use Nordic Solutions ones which are very difficult to find.

AIR LUXOR When you look up at Air Luxor GB (L8) or Air Luxor Stp (C2), both show a default 767-300. I thought, great! another repaint I could work on. Got a photo:... http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0195027/L/ - http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0195027/L/

However, when I pulled up the route map, I found this: UT shows the A320 as its equipment! I looked up its flight schedules. Lisbon to Bissau, Lisbon to Sao Tome Island, trying to see if the default plane actually shows up. But, there was no sight of it. I adjusted the parking spots to a medium size gate at both GGOV and FPST, and still no show of the red default 767. If I did the repaint it would've been a waste of my time...unless, anyone else sees that default 767. Any ideas?

Flyjet (Y7) has no flightplans, however, a repaint for AIA Aardvark 757-200 and AI Flightplans are available at AVSIM., that will have to be imported.

Hernan,

are you sure your update has installed correctly? I have timetable for Flyjet for a B767-200 flying between Bermuda and Stansted and my Air Luxor Gb and Stp timetables show a 767.

Thanks John. I reinstalled UT and downloaded the new Spring/Summer 2006 schedule. Still, I wasn't too happy about FlyJet as shown in UT, so I imported it. Now, my FlyJet routing looks full as the real thing

I got a new one in Canada

AFRINAT (Q9) is QuikAir based in Edmonton Canada

Any repaints??

Date Posted: July-06-2006 at 1:52am

Makis,

(Edited)

I did the repaint. However, after installing it under Afrinat, it doesn't show up at Edmonton. According to the Spring/Summer 2006 version I have, there are no flightplans for Afrinat-(QuikAir)...

If anyone of you guys show a flight schedule for this cutie, I'll upload it to Project AI. (See screenshots section)

See http://www.john-goodwin.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Assignframe.html - THIS ARTICLE on John Goodwin's Homepage for a way to identify and assign textures to these defaults.

If you have WindowsXP you probably already have Microsoft's .NET Framework installed.

Frank,

David's way to do it is the best one, but I'll guess that A321 is Airmadrid and B757 is Iberia operated by Audeli.

Also in Bolivia

There is a 319 operated by Aerosur..however is under Taca's schedules.  Taca does not fly to LaPaz

Can you help us with that as well Hernan?

Posted By: Hernan1
Date Posted: July-09-2006 at 3:08pm

Hi Makis & Craig,

The Aerosur A319 is a code-share operated by TACA-Peru. It only operates Santa Cruz-La Paz-Lima.

Here's the info regarding Mali Airways:. Mali Airways (Z8) is an African carrier based in Mali. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mali_Airways - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mali_Airways

However, this is some of the info I got from my colleagues in La paz. Linea Aerea Amaszonas (Z8) is the carrier that is operating the routes shown in UT. There is a texture available in AVSIM under Linea Aerea Amaszonas for the Fairchild Metroliner. When you assign that texture, make sure that you show "atc_airline=Amaszonas" (the airline call sign) ui_variation=Linea Aerea Amaszonas.

Here are a couple of screenshots:

This Cessna Caravan was destroyed in a fatal crash in january 21, 2005

EDIT: Never mind. Adrian noticed the link problem.

EDIT2: Does anyone know about Air China A342?

EDIT3: Pmt Air leases it's An-24s from President Airlines in President colours, so I suppose it's same thing with B732. I can't see any other evidence of a President B732 than two repaints for the Aardvark model though.

Yes but with whom?

I suppose that West African Airlines B737-300 is B727-200, because that's the only type I can find any evidence of them having. Airliners.net has only pictures for the B727 and there's even a repaint in AVSIM.

EDIT: Also, Cameroon Airlines B734 seems to be B733. Also pics in A.net and repaint in PAI.
